My passion is golf. My Grandfather was right when he said " There's no better feeling than that of seeing a golfer's smile once they've hit the ball straight" In 1974 I started two careers. One career in Lending and another in Golf. After 36 years I still enjoy both but teaching golf and bringing golf to the millions of golfers around the world has certainly become a priority of mine.
My beautiful wife Jean has been the love of my life for 15 years. You know your soul mate when the love and caring continues throughout the years. I could not have loved her like I do now when I was 25. I was too young to understand such things and too arrogant to consider such things.
My children are grown now. Ron is 40 and Melissa is 36. Jean's children, Jerry @ 32 and Melanie @ 28 are also well beyond the raising stage.
I have 6 Grandchildren through blood and marriage. Jean's family and extended family number over 150 which, at first, was quite intimidating. Family gatherings typically number from 30 to 50.
I'm a "Jesus Believer" and don't take to well to fundamentalists. I've read the Bible 4 times, New Testament 7 times or more and still can't quote a verse but I do understand the stories and reasoning behind having GREAT faith.
Business
If there is one thing I love in addition to teaching golf it would have to be Trading Stocks. The stock market is like a big ocean with currents moving in all directions. Most people are afraid of the market, some people find it challenging, I find is exhilarating. I love numbers and the stock market is all numbers. I am by no means a professional in this field but I do listen to the one professional I trust and he says one thing over and over again. Do your homework! Trading stocks is not a game as golf is. In golf you can have a bad day and go home. With stocks you can have a bad day and not have a home to go home to.
I've been following the stock market for over 30 years and have a lot more confidence in it than I do with real estate, financial consultants, banks. NO ONE MANAGES YOUR MONEY BETTER THAN YOU AND IF YOU LET SOMEONE ELSE MANAGE YOUR MONEY THEN EXPECT DIRE CONSEQUENCES.
I understand finances. I better since I've been working in finance since 1972. I understand golf better than finances because unlike financial's "Golf" can be a very stable thing to understand.
